Until about a month ago, I had never heard of podophobia—the formal name for an intense fear of feet. Once I started talking to people who live with it and psychologists who treat it, however, I learned that it can be debilitating. Here's what to know about the rare condition, which can make people feel absolute digust when they see their own or someone else's bare feet.
