U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced last week that it will now be mandatory for all service members age 30 and older to test their testosterone levels annually. He said that those found to have "testosterone deficiency” could choose to receive testosterone replacement therapy, often referred to as TRT. But what do doctors think of this new initiative?
I spoke to urologists about whether it's a good idea to screen all men over 30, including those without symptoms, for low testosterone. We also talked about the potential benefits and risks of TRT. |
